In times of extreme stress or pressure, or after traumatic experiences, we rarely stop to think about the consequences said experiences might have in our own personality.
Interacting with those personalities will delineate how we respond to everyday life to the extent of finding our place in the definition of society.
The bipolar disorder is a condition characterized by mood swings between great energy (known as manic episodes) and depression, it often causes unusual shift in activity levels, energy and concentration.
The mental condition of the human mind, often perceived as an abstract material, has different meaning and representation for every human being. In this short visual research, we explored the hypothetic representation of the bipolar disorder through objects and materials that are part of our imaginary of the real world.
From a state of depression and numbness, the human mind quickly fills the dark images with a fresh wave of color, leaving space to the maniac state and its pure energy. The depression state will eventually take control again, starting a recurrent but unpredictable loop between the two states.
Mental disorders are often overlooked in everyday life, our research is an attempt to bring awareness on the subject. We constructed a physical place inside our mind where various scenarios represent changes in the human mind and its nature.
